Obama - The Anti-Christ?

The following image was "officially" tweeted through the White House twitter account. Quite significant!

1) The picture of Obama in the White House though photo-shopped is "officially" released by the White House...Obama has a crown on his lap and a bow on the table in front.  

2) Revelation 6:2 -- the (anti-Christ) rider of white horse was given a bow and a crown...he will go around conquering (in the name of peace). Same imagery as that in the picture. 

3) The iron throne of King Joffrey (on which Obama is seated) -- Joffrey means "peace"... King of peace??? Anti- Christ (revelation 6 ready!). Revelation 4-5 to take place...which is the rapture and true Christians in heaven! 

4) In the same picture, there are also three dragon eggs with colors white, green and red. Revelation 6 discusses these three as riders on the white, red, and pale horses---- signifying war and death! Black egg not shown...but throne on which Obama sitting is black.... Economic collapse and famine also coming!

FIRST: The Nation Created

In 1949 (January-July), Israel signed several armistice agreements with her neighbors Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria to finally obtain nationhood (blood red moons: 1949-50 coinciding with the Biblical feasts of Passover and Tabernacles)

SECOND: The Capital City Won

The Most Preposterous Belief: Biblical Rapture!

I do believe in the biblical upcoming phenomenon called the "Rapture" or "Harpazo." After all my studies, I lean towards a pre-7year-tribulation view.  I also believe in the imminency of this "catching up to meet the Lord Jesus in the air".

The Passion - A Poem

I had wept through the movie "The Passion of the Christ". Such pain and ordeal that our Savior went through! 

I was reminded of what the Holy Spirit had spoken to me about the violence/gore depicted in the movie... "the real event was much worse than shown in the movie!"

May we never lose sight of or make light the cross of Jesus Christ!!

Post-Movie Meditation 

Folks had warned me loud & clear that I couldn't take the violence
But I was not a puny insect who by a repellent mat is silenced.
I would watch with open eyes the last great hours of my Lord
Through which He His passion and His love for me has shown.

From the very first scene of the movie I saw His heart open
Greatly humbled was I to see Him determined to be broken
Who am I that Someone should love me deeply, fully so?
His death was not for 'no reason' but for the life He'd foretold.

Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, there ain't no life
Unless you and I do our part there won't be an end to the world strife
We need the greatest measure of His presence more and more today
It is time to listen to Him to obey; He has so much He'd like to say.

I truly repent the many days I didn't acknowledge the price
Our Lover shed His own pure blood, brought Isaiah 53 to life.
Nothing, no one better than Him, so commit our lives to Him anew
No more living in the past, but pressing on to the life brand new.

I thank You Father that You have such awesome a plan

Sacrifice... But Don't Compromise

My husband was a student in college that time (15 years back) and also serving the Lord ministering to other students on campus. With the zeal he had for the Lord, a lot of his time went towards ministry and not enough towards his own academics. He seemed to be getting lower marks...

At that time... the Lord Jesus inspired him that "when you love someone (even Me)... you would need to sacrifice... but do not compromise."

Serving the Lord (Whom we love) can be a sacrificial act... but that does not mean that we compromise in other areas while serving Him.

Kenosis

But He (Jesus) made Himself of no reputation...

- Philippians 2:7

This phrase in Greek is ‘kenosis’, or, literally, ‘he emptied himself’. Jesus emptied Himself. Of what? Of His divinity? No. When Jesus came as a Man, He was still God. Then of what did He empty Himself? He emptied Himself of His Divine powers.

The implications of the doctrine of kenosis are huge because it means that everything Jesus did — the miracles He ministered, the prayers He prayed, the teachings He gave — were not done in His own power. Jesus healed and prayed and taught through the power of the Holy Spirit as He followed the Father’s directives.

Because I didn’t know this for probably 20+ years, when I read that Jesus walked on water, I thought, ‘Big deal. He’s Jesus’; when I read that He overcame temptation, I thought, ‘Big deal. He’s Jesus’; when I read that He spent the night in prayer, I thought, ‘Big deal. He’s Jesus.’ Thus, the miracles and stories of the Gospels were irrelevant to me as far as they related to being an example or model for me.

I didn’t understand kenosis. I didn’t grasp Philippians 2. I didn’t comprehend that when Jesus came to earth, He emptied Himself of His Divine abilities — which means everything Jesus did, He did as a man just like me. Before He did anything, Jesus had to be obedient to the Father, to pray, to put Himself on the line, to be empowered by the Spirit — or nothing would happen. That’s why He said, ‘Of my own self, I can do nothing,’ (John 5:30) — and neither can you.

When a man who is serious about loving and serving God understands the kenosis of Philippians 2, he’ll never look at Jesus the same way. He’ll see that Jesus’ life is truly a model for anyone willing to be directed by the Father and empowered by the Spirit.

My First Encounter with Jesus Christ

John 14:6 -- Jesus said to him, "I AM the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by Me."

I had my 1st personal encounter with Jesus when I was 22 years old... 

I came face to face with my sinfulness & my inability to pay for the wrongs I had done.

I saw my need for a Redeemer... a Savior... and for the 1st time realized that only Jesus had paid the price for all the sins of the world!

It's only after receiving Jesus (Yeshua) into my life as my personal Lord, Savior, and King, repenting of and turning away from my old sinfulness that I have truly started living... and enjoying my everyday life.

I am FAR from perfect... but I desire to change more and more into His image, till I am completely His "GAL 2:20"... and till then, I have made a quality decision, a very serious choice to love & enjoy life... regardless of circumstances!

Given below is my first encounter with the Lord Jesus... Yeshua Ha Mashiach.

I was a devout Hindu… prayed to my idol-gods regularly… I feared God… like most Hindus, I lived with the thought of ‘karma’ where, I would get what I deserve. 

I had joined one of the most prestigious business schools in India - the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (‘IIML’) in year 2000. I always put a lot of pressure on me to perform. 

After I joined IIML, I realized that there were many others who performed better than I did. My grades to me seemed low and hence I went low. I tried to appease my gods through chanting ‘shlokas’ to get them on my side. Nothing seemed to work.

One particular night, it was in August 2000, I sat late in the night reading shlokas. I was reading the shlokas of one of my favorite gods, the idol with the elephant head ‘Ganesha’. But every time I would close my eyes to chant, I would see a huge black Indian elephant charge towards me. I was psyched out! I tried again, once again I saw the tusker charge towards me. I was scared and thought that this was the end of me. My favorite god was also angry with me. I grew desperate. 

I looked around for another god that I could try to please! I spotted my little blue Bible (Gideon’s - free… got it when I was in school). I opened the Book and read. I don’t recall what I read, but in a matter of few seconds, I felt something tangibly flow right through me and lift off my burdens. I was saying “Hallelujah. Praise God!” These were phrases no one had taught me to say… but I was speaking them forth. I recall saying, “I am not afraid. Jesus is there.” 

That night I had encountered the love and power of Jesus. But I had not yet encountered the Jesus on the cross, dying for my sins! I started reading the Bible to keep Jesus pleased… to give my gods some time to get over their anger towards me. 

But the more I read the Bible, the more I was intrigued by the person of Jesus. Something within me started asking “Why not?” instead of “Why?” I started talking to Jesus about Himself and He would answer me through the Bible, or in some instances through an audible voice, sometimes through an impression on my heart. But always confirmed through His written Word - the Holy Bible! 

Around that same time, God had been pursuing my elder sister too with His truth. She surrendered her life to Jesus at an evening evangelical program at New Life Fellowship (my home church in Bangalore, India). She called me early next morning and told me very excited “Preeti, I am born again. I gave my life to Jesus. He is real and alive. My sins are forgiven.”

She told me repeatedly about her sins being forgiven. She said how Jesus took all her sins away. She told me that I too had to be born-again. So, I told her that I would ask Jesus about being born-again and if He Himself told me so, I would consider. So, I, as habitual to me by this time, asked Jesus, “Did You really want people to be born-again? This born-again thing sounds like a cult to me. Let me know where it is in the Bible.”

A few days later, I sensed an impression in my heart:
“Read John 3.” (i.e., read chapter 3 from the Book of 'John' in the Bible)

I did look up John 3. There it was… “born-again” in red! I wanted to be born-again and enter His kingdom simply because Jesus had said so in the Bible. I wanted to do anything He would ask me to… He had been so good to me, ever since that night He flowed through me and protected me. The more I read the Bible, the more I could see my own sinfulness & the need for a Savior.

The next vacation, I came to Bangalore to the church and got born-again as the pastor shared the meaning of born-again, sinful nature of man, redemption through the blood of Jesus, the Trinity, etc. The vacation after that, I received water baptism. The next vacation, I was baptized in the Holy Spirit.
